About

Sanscha is a Berlin-based dancer, choreographer and performer whose practice explores the body through dance, movement research and aerial practices.

Their movement background began with classical ballet and contemporary dance and later expanded through Butoh, theatre, yoga, aerial arts and martial arts. Their artistic work spans dance, performance, choreography and visual art, informed by experiences across different disciplines.

Today, Sanscha’s practice is rooted in a curiosity about the body and its relationship to the world around it. They are interested in how bodies adapt, respond, resist, transform and develop new possibilities for movement. Their work combines choreographic exploration with somatic awareness, embodied research and a continuous exploration of unfamiliar movement territories.

Alongside their artistic practice, Sanscha teaches dance, somatic movement, yoga and aerial practices. Their diverse movement background informs both their teaching and their ongoing artistic research.
